Audrey DygertAudrey Dygert's style of painting watercolors covers a wide spectrum: traditional transparent pigments, optional opaque pigments, pastel colors or bright vibrant colors- dry paper or wet paper, loose or hard edge and pointillism. Subject matter ranges from traditional landscapes, scenes, and structures to pure abstracts. She becomes bored when doing repetitive themes; thus her work seldom falls into a set category or period. Representative examples of her work range from offshore drilling rigs to delicate flora and fauna. She employs the vignette style as well as overall design, corner to corner. Frequently, her work displays her keen interest in the environment.

Audrey has painted under many different on-location conditions: California Coast, Walnut Creek, CA, area, Texas Gulf Coast, also in the Central Sierras, CA, and the Wind River Range, WY, during 28 years of back packing carrying her art materials and easel as well as her share of the other equipment.

Her painting career spans 6 years in Walnut Creek, CA, 5 years in La Porte, TX, 11 years in Houston, TX, and 20 years in Truckee, CA. During this time, she has sold over 1000 original watercolors, and over 2000 lithograph limited edition prints.
